For me, the only thing better than a good eyeliner is a fantastic mascara. Luckily, there are more than enough to go around. If I had my choice, I would probably buy Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara every time. But experimenting is great, as is mascara retailed for less than $23. So today I thought I’d share my top 3 drugstore mascaras.
Taking third place at #3, is ULTA’s Amped Lashes. I got this product in a glam bag the store gave me for spending $20. I will admit I wasn’t completely sold at first; but the more I use it, the more I like it. The brush isn’t a crazy shape like most of the popular mascaras today. However, it does do a really good job of coating every single lash… I never get clumping. This product could offer a bit more in the area of volume, but all in all, I think it’s a pretty good find.
Sliding into second place… Covergirl’s Full Lash Bloom Mascara. First of all, can we just take a minute to appreciate how amazing Katy Perry looks in the commercial for this? Yes? Ok, good. Now that we’ve done that… I’ve actually been really impressed with this mascara. I’ve always liked Covergirl but this product really blew me away. It does a decent job of separating all of the lashes and adds tons of volume. You might see a bit of clumping with this product, but nothing unmanageable. It’s definitely something to try. Annnnnnd.
Stealing first, at just $8, is L’Oréal’s Miss Manga Black Angel Mascara. This stuff is amazing. It comes out super black and does an excellent job. I was a little bit weirded out by the brush at first.. I kind of thought it held on to too much product, but as long as you use a light hand, it’s totally fine. Your lashes will look amazing after you use this stuff, try it. Bonus points if you combine it with ULTA’s Amped Lashes.. that’s what I do. So that about wraps it up for my favorite mascaras.
